[Esmeraude's face contorts in fear and pain as she appears to break off into chipped pieces, still surrounded by the light of the Silver Crystal.]
ESMERAUDE; It... It's hot... / It hurts-! Why-? / Stop! Stop it!!
[Usagi snaps her compact shut, shocked and concerned, halting the healing. Makoto steps bodily in front of her, arm outstretched, transformation wand at the ready.]
USAGI: Huh!?
MAKOTO: Is this a trick?
[No longer suspended by the Silver Crystal, Esmeraude falls to the floor with a thud, still bound by the cords, with acrid black smoke billowing from the flat crack-like holes formed in her body. Ami leaps forward to open her communicator watch, aghast, as Usagi can only look on in horror.]
AMI: It's no trick! I'm calling Luna...!
[Esmeraude winces in pain and shock, the cracks on her face and bodice growing larger and spewing more smoke.]
ESMERAUDE: I said I'd be good-! / I just wanted... Why...? / Why?
[Usagi can only stare, eyes wide in shock and terror, her hand over her mouth.]
ESMERAUDE (OFF-PANEL): You said you'd do it-! / Why!
USAGI: I'm sorry... I'm sorry...
AMI (OFF-PANEL): Luna?? We have an emergency...
[Somewhere, in a staticy, black void, a wide, disembodied mouth with painted lips grins.]
VOICE: Now, now. / Don't go breaking things that aren't yours.

Usagiiiiiii oh no she just wanted to help

No Joke
Funny you say that Dr Frizzy, I was just thinking how things were funny and goofy 170 pages ago. Now Christopher Nolan took over. I never liked Esmeraud anyway. Is she gonna need plastic surgery?

Cerebus Syndrome
Seems we have a case of Cerebus Syndrome: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CerebusSyndrome

Nooo! You really do a great job with both comedy and drama with this comic; I'm dying to see what happens next. Poor Usagi, poor Esmeraude D:

I knew it wasn't gonna work and yet I'm still gutted OTL

Minerva Venus (Guest) commented (May 13th, 2019, 9:12 am):
OMG.
OMG, 11 years for 180s pages, and it's getting to the good parts...I wonder when will the endings come... Can't wait for more update!!!

Shadowsphere21 (Guest) commented (May 14th, 2019, 5:38 am):

OMG Usagi - please read up on exorcisms before you perform them!

Poor Esmeraude! Split ends are the least of her worries now. And the plot thickens...

Guest commented (May 20th, 2019, 5:13 pm):

AHH THE SUSPENSE when will the next update be up?

ellorgast commented (May 21st, 2019, 4:44 pm):

I still can't get over this page. There have been little hints of foreshadowing trickling in all throughout this comic, that something wasn't right about all these villains coming back, that something about their revival felt *off* and something malicious might be behind it. But to have it so violently and viscerally revealed like this... it's such a gutpunch and so real and tragic. Esmeraude isn't just an illusion or an empty puppet, she so clearly has her own thoughts and emotions despite being whatever she is.

This upped the stakes in a way I couldn't have even imagined. All these former villains showing up, some of them redeemed or redeemable and some decidedly not, and now we see how fragile they are. If the ginzuishou can't help them, how can it keep them alive through whatever this new villain team is doing? How can it *not* destroy them along with whatever evil force recreated them?

As ever, you're an amazing storyteller. I can't wait to see where this goes.

Random dude (Guest) commented (May 23rd, 2019, 3:45 am):

This reminds me of Legato Bluesummers's final ofensive in Trigun. After a lot of failures trying to kill Vash (a pacifist), he forced Vash to kill him. Basically, Legato served himself in order to create permanent, psychological damage in the good guy.

I'm so glad this comic is back! I'd love to see this posted on line webtoon or something like it so you can get more support /compensation for such fun and great work!

KaiserFrazer67 (Guest) commented (June 10th, 2019, 5:07 am):

Been a while now since the last update. I'm hoping this comic hasn't died a second death... :/

Guest commented (June 13th, 2019, 3:22 pm):

I’m honestly so scared this hasn’t been updated in forever- I check literally everyday

Guest commented (June 29th, 2019, 1:36 pm):

Hope everything is okay with Frizzy :(

Guest commented (July 4th, 2019, 9:32 pm):

This shit is alive again?
I'm going to have to start from the beginning just to refresh.

KaiserFrazer67 (Guest) commented (July 8th, 2019, 5:05 am):
@Guest
It was alive for a little while; but the author hasn't updated in two months (or posted an explanation as to what's going on), so... it's possible it may have 'died' again.

Guest commented (July 21st, 2019, 8:54 am):

Frizzy come back!
