[Saturn faces off against the pegasus, the ripples continuing on around them, the calmed surface closest to them as flat and clear as glass.]
PEGASUS: You can call me Chrysaor. / Sorry for the slip-up, I just got so excited. I know you're not really Mistress. / Since you killed her.
[The distorted reflections in the pool do not reflect their true forms. For Chrysaor, his reflection is of a young man, balancing cheerily on one foot, the rest of his features hard to distinguish as he is obscured from the chest up. Saturn's reflection starts with a familiar long, white skirt, leading up to a dark blue bodice; Mistress Nine of the Death Busters.]
[If Saturn is affected by Chrysaor's accusation, she does not show it.]
SATURN: I don't know who you're talking about, but if I ever killed anybody, I'm sure it would be absolutely necessary.
[Chrysaor's eyes droop, almost as if his face is softening.]
CHRYSAOR: Is that what you tell yourself?

For bonus points and brainscrew, Ikuni did reuse the pegasi idea very briefly. It's in the first season OP for Utena of all places ... mweeheehee

hand, meet forehead
I noticed the reflections before, but I just now recognized Hotaru's. Oh right. THAT mistress.

I always loved the Pegasus/Dark Pegasus idea, and you actually found a way to make it work! I am so intrigued by this!

I sorta see what you did thar
I physically turned upside down in a better effort to recognize those reflections in the pool. One of them I recognized immediately, the other...I doubt I was supposed to (right?). But the black Pegasus' reflection does appear to be that of a one-legged (or standing on one foot, anyway) man. Hmm....

The way you draw Setsuna and Saturn are incredible, by the way!
